yea I would 'pull' the engine, but Im afraid Id just stump myself along the way since theres no documentation on the exact process, then Id really be in a pickle ..  :beer:

Have you done an oil and filter change on this tractor?
If your oil filter were leaking around its seal that could be it.
I think that's where I'd start.

If your oil filter were leaking around its seal that could be it.
I think that's where I'd start.

no not yet, I bought the parts; but havent performed any kind of maintenance on it yet.

 

I'll check out the filter area; it seemed pretty dry over there though; but it wouldnt hurt to give it another stare down.

yeah I checked out the oil filter area, looked dry as a bone..

 

but this spot by the oil dipstick/tube.. is showing signs of leakage.. so I wanna say its the rear oil seal.. but then again what *do *i *know ;)

Heres the oil filter area, after I took the covers off looks like the filter is atleast 5 years old.. heh..

 

Yeah, Im thinking the gremlins are living in the rear of the engine.. 

 

Just a matter of figuring out how to unbolt things from the frame, and taking off the pulley belts(?), etc.. hrrmm
