Please don't forget to wish the person who changed your diapers, made you food, kept you clean, and fixed your skinned knees a Wonderful Mothers Day.

To all the Mothers out there, Happy Mothers Day

This year the Kids and I decided to try something crafty instead of just the usual flower purchases... Something to put them in.

Step one, find old tire and map out pattern
Step two, cut out pattern in sidewall with saber saw
Step three, turn tire inside out...
(No action pictures of this as they all have me throwing things and making constipation faces.)
Step four, using good paint (the ones with primer in them have a little latex to help with flexibility)
The paint will need redone every few, but they look good now.
Step 5, present and enjoy.

I will have pics of the others later, but you get the idea.
Now to plant flowers in them.

What did everyone else give/get?

Happy Mother's Day!   Those tire/flower rings are a great idea!  Mom should like that for sure!

The kids have a cleaning the house gig planned for their Mom.   They are mostly married and moved away... Mary is happy just to have them here.

Happy Mother's day to all the ladies out there!

Alan, cool job on the tires! I take it you have several different colors.

I was born on Mothers day many moons ago. I always tell my Mother that I was a pain in her bottom then and have been one every since. Good thing Mothers have a sense of humor.

Wishing all the Moms out there a blessed and happy Mothers Day. Missing my mom who passed away in 1974.  Gone but think of her every day. Hug your moms and wives.                                                                                                                                                                                                              Roger
