I have a 7010 with a 42" mower and need part numbers for both belts for mower deck.

Can some one help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming you have the 1690022 deck?

My interchange is showing the two deck belts are the same size, does this sound correct?

If so I can get you a Kevlar USA made replacement belt for $ 24.75ea

Simplicity had the great idea of putting the belt info on a decal under the hood.
Does yours have that?

Bolens 1000, to me 42 to 48 leaves 6" to make up ? I can't find a parts manual for the deck anywhere, I guess this is going to turn out to be one of those lucky trips or multiple trips to NAPA. To me the belt is riding in the bottom of the pulley and needs to be wider.

Rock farmer, someone had started redoing this tractor and painted over everything. Plus I'm not sure on the width of the deck belt so I don't want to just measure it and buy a Gates power belt.

Thanks to both of you for the reply's....Gratton

Please post some pictures

No reason to make so many trips to an auto store for an inferior belt.

Will be more than glad to help, first we need to figure out if its a 42'' deck, measuring the blades will tell for sure

I have measured across the deck and blades it is a 42" deck. Also I need the drive belt from the clutch down to the deck, I assume that could be the same as a 48" deck. Thanks for the help but pictures will have to wait ( Mothers Day and Sunday ).

Thanks again  Gratton

Here are some pictures of mower deck, I took a belt that I use for measuring in this type of situation and got a measurement. Measuring the back side of belt it is 74" x 1/2" and this is with very little tension on the idler pulley

All my interchanges are showing 82'' for both  belt's to drive this deck as the 42'' manual list the same part numbers for these belts

Bolens 1000, I hate to keep bothering you with this, BUT this is my first experience with a simplicity and I'm confused with this belt situation. Take a look at the way the belt is routed in the picture and see if you agree, that was the way it was when I removed the covers. I can't see any way to use up 10 more inches. I have had pretty good luck using this cut belt, over lapping it, marking and measuring the back to get the length of belts.

Thanks again Gratton

In your picture the MFR# ID tag is clearly present. There were two different diameters of pulleys that could be used on a 7010 deck. This resulted in there being two different choices for "arbor drive" belts. Using the MFR# you can download the appropriate parts manual at:

http://www.simplicit...m/us/en/support

Regardless of which deck they use the same PTO drive belt  # 2176439 =  74.1" x 1/2" x 11/32"

The arbor drive belt will be either:

# 1719819 = 82.1" x 1/2" x 11/32"

or

# 1656960 = 84.1" x 1/2" x 11/32"
