You have plenty of time to get settled in by Fall, and you're right at just a 2 1/2 hr drive from my plow day.  Maybe you can make it??

If I read this right, you're moving from a city postage stamp lawn to about an acre. Lots of seat time ahead. Added to a garden, there will e a dramatic increase in your outdoor work! Sounds good! Good luck with the move!

Thanks again everyone for the comments & encouragement. It looks like most of my stuff will be closer to fall to get organized. So I won't bore you with the honey to do list that is a mile long. I have a few projects that need to be done right away like relocating the laundry area from basement to a back room over a crawl space. I learned a long time a go the best way to enter a crawl space is keep my mouth shut & don't look around much  :( I need to clean up some wiring & get rid of miles of cable lines going everywhere. The conduit I was hoping to be large enough to pull a line for 220 to the garage is too small. I think I'll just run a new one & install a 100 amp sub panel in the garage this fall & do away with the existing conduit. Sure been getting a lot of seat time cutting grass.  Neighbors cows came up to the back fence area that was neat, get to look at cows & not have to own them. We heard roosters crowing down the road, the wife wants chickens but I don't. I started to eat a fresh egg years ago & broke it open & it was not pretty inside...etched in my brain. :( I love eggs but if I think about them long enough I won't eat them at all for awhile. Things are coming along nicely & will update occasionally when I get to doing the good stuff.

If you do chickens free range ain't all it crack up to be they eat your garden and you always got to worry about hawks getting them.
