everything spins freely so I think once I clean it off and get the blades sharpened it should be ready to rock

What I didn't realize originally is that the larger decks use 4 true hangers and a lift arm connection, whereas the smaller 38" deck just uses the front 2 and a chain hanging from the lift arm

I looked at that deck again and thought it looked odd. Then I realized we were talking YT models here, not LGT!

It does work and I mowed the back yard, but still something is not quite right. I can't lift the thing up using the lift arm!
I believe the rear hanger is either on wrong or my connection to the lift arm isn't right.
I'm fine with leaving it down all the time, but I'd like to be able to lift it and on top of that I can only raise the cutting height to about halfway. Something is hanging up! Thoughts?

I think part of the problem is the rusty chain links are binding up on each other really bad which is restricting movement, but aside from that it looks like it should rotate the rear hanger assembly and lift the dual chains when I pull the lift arm.
Maybe put some grease on the chain?

Hmm ok I'm pretty sure I found the issue. Comparing the manual pic and my rear hanger pic, I have the hanger rotated too far. I'm essentially trying to pull the chain arms forward rather than backwards. I think I can fix this tonight!
