Got it up and running for the first time today. New belts on, shroud on, adjustments made so rolled it off the table and fired it up. Everything worked good till I tried reverse. I would not go backwards at all. Pulled the motor down a little but that's all. Is there an adjustment that I missed or the owners manual don't mention? Kind of a neat fun little thing to run around on but do need reverse as this is the Mrs.'s tractor and she has been knows to drive head first into trouble so need that reverse so she can back her way out again. Any suggestions?? This is a 1960, 231-231 model.

I wonder if the reverse disc is worn down to much to engage properly.

Is that on the inside of the variable speed pulley?
