Hi Guys,

I have a Red E (Page built) model P12 tractor with a Briggs 19FB that needs a coil. I need to remove the rope start pulley in order to remove the flywheel housing, in order to remove the flywheel to gain access to the coil.

My big question is how does this pulley come off? I took the big nut off the front and assuming it is pressed, tried to use a 3-jaw puller and managed to break a chunk off the pulley lip (darn, I'm mad at myself for that one) but it didn't budge. I don't think it's keyed, but seeing the nut on the back side, wonder if it's threaded?

Any help/pointers is greatly appreciated! Rob

I bet the same guy that designed that nut/pulley/nut set up designed the pulley set up on my Gard'n Mast'r. It makes me wonder why some of these designs make it passed the drawing board.
