Back when I was young we used to celebrate this day in school.   The days were getting longer and warmer, I was riding my bike to school every day almost, and school would soon be out for the summer!

May Day! That hasn't been on my radar for a long time. I can now see part of my garden where the snow is finally starting to melt away. Another week and it'll be time for a big yard cleanup.

I remember May Day in elementary school. We'd pack a brown bag lunch and have it on the front lawn of the school under the trees. We'd do outside stuff all day at school if the weather was nice that day. I remember we would do a Maypole too. My kids have never heard of May Day.

I remember the Maypole being wraped in the old gym. That was in the early 50's. What happened tto the Mayday celebrations? That should have been before anything would offend anybody.   Freddie
