I got a rebuilt kit from ebay and the new main jet broke inside the carb.  :wallbanging:

will this aftermarket carb work on my ss15 ?

Guys may need to know more about your tractor to help.

I didn't know they out Briggs and the sears tractors..

Its a 1972 SS15 has a briggs and stratton 325431-0139-01

Looks the same as an OEM briggs carb.Your model number is listed.That's a heck of a deal.I'm going to have to bookmark that one.You'll have close to that price for a full rebuild kit with Float and jet.
 
If you get one take it apart and make sure that the Float is set correctly.

Those are great carburetors.  I don't know where that guy gets them from, but his source is much better than mine.  My cost from my sources is more than that.

nothing I just put the new one in cause it was in the carb kit.

Oh ok.Well I'm glad ya got the new one out.

 

 

Did ya get her running again?

SS15 is one of my favorite Sears GTs.Briggs engines are super easy to work on,good on fuel and have plenty of torque.

I'm going to try to swap my little Sears Custom 10E for a SS14 that needs some work as soon as I get the rest of the parts I need to put it back together.Found one locally that needs some lovin but is supposed to be a decent runner.Someone painted it GREEN lol that's gota be addressed ASAP.

It got dark before I could install it back. So far I like it better than the cub I had

i got a ss15 (well sub 15 with upgrades and repaint) but that old 16hp briggs i stuck on it is powerful.and i like this sub 14 i got last week too needs few bugs worked out on it and it will be doing some work this year.
