Well I finally got the time to finish rebuilding the HH100 on the sears.Got it to run perfect with 1 exception.

Well here easier to show than explain.I just ordered a NOS one for $12 shipped they are NLA parts so i gota be more carefull when I put it back together this time.

There was a very slight bind when I put the bearing cover back on.I just tightened the bolts and didn't think about it.Well I won't be doing that again hopefully.

I could of welded it with the Mig but don't want to take the chance of it coming apart inside the engine.

Don't be embarrassed, it is a pretty common mistake.  I've sold a whole pile of those things as a result, too.

Hey other than that it runs AWESOME now.I had to put a new rod and a set of rings in it before it decided to let go.It was starting to smoke pretty good and had a noticeable knock. Both rod nuts were extremely loose and the Oil was black and smelled nasty.Nothing like the smell of cheap Burnt wallmart Hi-Tech recycled oil. Here's the Rod I took out of it.Crank had no sign of wear or galling which is amazing.

Guess I caught it Just in the nick of time.

No I'm not the one that used that cheap crap oil in it.I am a cheap arse but not THAT cheap. :rolling: I use Shell Rotella T1 30W in my stuff.
