Been spending some time when the kids aren't using the equipment to fab up a box blade.  Currently I have it set up for use with my sleeve hitch on my JD 314 but have plans to make it into a 3 point connection.  That is if I can find a reasonable 3 point for my 314.  Gotta be ready just in case.  I found a round fender JD for a parent of one of my students and it came with a cobbled up front blade from a Cub Cadet.  He gave it to me as a "finder's fee" so I had to do something with it.  Any suggestions on improvements?  I just hope it works when I hook it up.

It looks like it should work. The improvement ideas will come as you use it. It appears that the hitch is in a sleeve. Is this so you can swap from sleeve hitch to three point?

Looks good. How far below the sides is the cutting edge? I hope you can find that 3-point as this type will perform better when you tweak the top link.

Just about have it wrapped up.  I'll give the sleeve hitch a try and keep hoping to find a reasonable 3 point for my 314.

The only thing I see that might not work out is the flat stock on the bottom behind the blade. I think that will keep the blade from digging good. Most blades have a cutting edge back there for cutting
