MAN does this hit a nerve for me, these players all overpaid girls !!!  they say they need to make as much a possible when they can so they can survive after they cannot play, well hello !!!  why not try to get a real job when you cant play ball ????  I would set and watch my daughter play softball all day long before I will watch 2 min of pro ball !!  take the money out of the game and you will see it revert to what it was meant to be a fun pastime for normal people to enjoy on their weekends.  I have a really hard time around any sports season due to the fact I don't follow and that is all anyone wants to talk about, you ask them if they saw the news and they reply NO BUT DID YOU SEE THAT GAME !!!  WOW WHAT A GAME !!!  meanwhile Russia just annexed Ukraine and 300 million people in Africa are starving to death.

If we as a nation put as much effort into a hard days work as we do into prepping for the super bowl we would be by far the greatest nation in the world without worrying about the national debt or the cost of college tuition.  just the thought off some guy making 36 million to play a game for 5 years sickens me !!!  I work hard and have spent my life getting into a great career to raise a family and I will never make as much as some of these guys waste on a sports car they will never drive !! we need to wake up and remember what and who built this country !!!

Ok I am done now, thanks for reading.

I don't disagree at all. But remember folks, they wouldn't make a dime if you didn't watch them. Owners and promoters only respond to the box office.

Do you watch movies?

I agree with this as well. We could discuss the over paying of government officials, actors, ball players, and any other.

Sadly the American people are obsessed with these sports ball players as heroes. I don't buy products based product endorsements or the like.

You are good at debating bet you were heck on em if you were ever on a debate team.

I hate when I am driving and they shut down the radio station to play any sports ball games.  I dislike sports ball games, and don't watch or listen to any of them.  But I am probably a minority....

Nope, lots of us that don't follow the ''kool kids''.

Don't have time for movies. Life is outside and passing us by. When I lost 8 of my brothers across the water, life became very precious.

9 deaths in 8 years, yeah, life is too short. I don't watch public T.V., rarely movies. I prefer real, not la, la, land.

MAN does this hit a nerve for me.

Me too, i walk away when someone starts talking about it. Popular mob syndrome entertainment complex. Half those people really do not like sports, just the thrills and feeling of group popularity.

Lame.

We could, it would be another long thread.

Obsessed is another word for group stupidity but then again aren't we all in some way shape or forum ? We all have OCD.

Uhh-->  Yes!  My job & livelihood has been supplied by the movie industry..  I wouldn't be able to collect tractors or even have a need without it!!

IMO all professional "sport" is waaaaay overpaid. There should be an average standard of living wage paid, being as they chose the profession for "the love of the game", lol. Devil's advocate? Just think of the tax dollars that get returned to the public purse.
