Long day today, we left home at 5:30 am, returning 486 miles later just before 7 pm with this:  HPIM1627.JPG

A 2000 JD F725 w/377 hours, for once my timing was right!  I found it online Friday after business hours, called the dealer just after 8 Saturday morning, discussed it with him & asked if he could hold it until noon today.  We got to Des Moines about 8 am for breakfast at IHOP, the another 2-1/2 hour drive to Greene, IA.  Salesman told me he had one call from IL just after I called & an email about it Saturday morning, then one of the company people wanted it.  Fortunately for me, he was true to his word!

Now to get the F525 ready to sell!

That's nice!, but just a warning, a friend had one like that and they are a hassle to get on and off of. He broke his ankle/foot really bad because he got it caught on a pedal when he was getting off.

Not that much different than the F525 I've been using for the last 5 years.

This one has power steering, hydraulic deck lift & 54" deck.  I already have the discharge chute on order, may have it by the next mowing.  Need to air the tires, service it & set the deck this morning & mow the yard this afternoon.  Dealer had just traded for it on Wednesday & hadn't done anything with it yet but a wash job.

377 hours?! That's going to last forever! You'll need a 1445 to trade up to now.

Very nice mower Lowell. Low hours, which is rare for a mower that tends to end up in commercial service. How many acres are you mowing? I assume with a larger engine and deck this will shorten your mowing time.

Probably slightly less tan one acre here at home, may use it at the farm some too.  Used to have a 54" Bush Hog zero turn that was 54" also, sold it when I bought the 48" F525.

Got the F725 serviced & tires aired this morning,  HPIM1628.JPG  HPIM1629.JPG

Going to try it out this afternoon.

Mowed with the F725 this afternoon, first time I've used it.  Not quite as nimble in the corners as the F525, but not s much wheel slippage on the hills.  Nice cut, overall, very satisfied with it!  I did move the seat back 1-1/2", gives me more room for my "excess"!   :wallbanging:

Hopefully, the new discharge chute shows up soon, I don't like grass clippings being blown all over me!   :(
