Hi all, yesterday I picked up what I think is a nice Case 444 it has a 44" deck that runs nice and smooth & quite, a set of rear wheel wts and a front plow blade. The kohler starts and runs nice the tractor shifts and drive nice I really don't need another GT but have been looking and waiting for a Case to come up for sale close and this one was only about 10 miles away, the seller got it from his Dad who purchased it new back in 79 or 80, per the SN its a 1979 model yr.

Looks real nice. I also always wanted to try one of the big wheel ones. Attachments go on easy, most things run off hydraulic motors, not a lot of belts. Worst part on case is no springs in seat mounts. That would kill me on my rough yard for mowing. Guess you'll be letting that old Sears go now after you use this Case, ha!  Have to keep the PK for sure.

Thanks guys, No the PK is staying as is most of the Sears maybe if I run out of mad money and something really interesting comes along I could part with say the SS16.

congrats.png LOL

Seriously I am a little jealous. It is so hard to find one in that condition. I have a 448 and like it. But all things considered, I like the Kohler(yours) over the Onan(mine) as far as repairs and rebuilding costs.

You will like this GT as they are very heavy duty.

I ran a 444 back in the late 70's, It was the smaller tire version but it had all the options. The only problem on that one that ever came up was the mechanical PTO for the mower deck. It needed some tweaking after a few years.

Hang a hydro tiller on the back and do wheelies with it. or put the deck on and go do donuts on the yard. :)

Oops Did I say that out loud, or was that my inner 11 year old child speaking?

Or it might be a flashback to when I used to do that.

I love the look of those case tractors, my 155 is great but the hydro drive is getting bad !!  really noisy.  I will need to rebuild or replace soon enough, If I had the choice I would have had a bigger case like that.  nice score !!
