I was blasting the rims for my WH project
(http://gardentractor...se-and-a-mouse/)
and noticed the hose from the tank to the nozzle was
badly cracked and splitting in many places.
Not leaking...yet...but my question is this;
Is this a special type hose , built to withstand
the abrasive media/air mix, or can I replace it
with any standard hose with the proper ID??

Need more info, is it a pressure pot , or siphon feed with air to the gun and the hose just draws the media from the canister? Pressurized pot requires a special high pressure hose that resembles a hydraulic line, a siphon feed (usually a clear hose) does not , and is not pressurised therefore you can go to your local hardware , TSC, etc. get the right diameter and I'd get the heaviest wall tubing they had. ( should last longer)

I have a blasting cabinet (siphon feed) and I got it with a hunk of garden hose to feed the gun, every couple years that garden hose deteriorated from the inside out and I gotta replace it as it then starts to collapse on itself and not suck sand... once every couple years, I can deal with that...

I get my hose from my local auto parts store. Its a Napa franchise,  fairly expensive like 60 or 70 dollars for a 10 footer, but its pretty thick and tough stuff. Mine usually wears out on the inside near the tank and after I cut it off a couple times, I get a new one.
