When did they start using the yellow lights with the red and green?

By the way, there is not a stop light in this whole county,  :(

I am not sure when the yellow was introduced exactly.  They did use various overlaps of the two colors prior and when the yellow was put into use, the other colors overlapped with it as well in the beginning. Meaning the green would phase to green and yellow before turning to red.

I got it all done in August but just getting around to posting pics. This is the first signal I've had that actually made it from the garage into the house. I had plans of putting it on a shelf in the garage, but she weighs 106 pounds and that posed a problem.  Anyhow, it's all done and cycling through the phases.

Hook that up to the bathroom door. If it's open it's Go! Closed, it's Stop!

I'd lock it on solid red when the mother-in-law arrives.
