I decided to go take a picture of a edger I have up at the barn I walked up there without putting my boots on and almost stepped on a rattlesnake. Don't think I will make the mistake again.

We're lucky. Ours are still frozen. That gives me plenty of time yet, to

sharpen the shovels

we have copperheads here rattlesnakes stay on higher areas.

I would still be running!!!

I did do some running straight to the house to grab the pellet gun to bad my BIL used all the pellets shooting soda cans.

Isn't a pellet gun for nuisances? Like squirrels, superabens, and small children? You need a 12 gauge, I think.

He wasn't even moving I thought the chickens kill him but I went back and he was gone.

One shot, they can't pinpoint direction... Takes at least two to get a sure bearing
