That color combination sounds familiar. Our 4 yo granddaughter wanted her new play house painted pink with purple trim. She opted for light Green with hot pink trim. They are only young once and you can always repaint it. Give her a pail of pint and a brush and let her have at it! ! Bet it will run better ???

Years ago I picked up an old Montgomery ward rider with no deck for my daughter. I got it running good and painted it that purple/pink color GMC came out with in the 90's with black running boards. She loved it and ran it all over our small farm. We use to have tractor races around the yard ala Nascar. Now she's 30 and still talks about it.

The fond memories far out weigh the awful colors.

Yep all's good, it really runs great! I'm going run the wheels and the tins thru the blast cabinet and heck i'll even let her paint it green and yellow if she wants to.. (wait.. disregard that last statement, I have to draw the the line some where 😉)

P.S. MY first brand spanking new GT was a JD 318 purchased in 1987 pretty sure it was '87 had some sort of emblem on it for an anniversary (75th ?) It was a nice unit, I traded in on my Duratrac GT 2000

Looks like she had fun. Paint it, she's only 6 one time but there are thousands of gallon of paint made. Just my thoughts.

Neat pic from the past , that would be my daughter's great grandpa ( my wife's) grandpa ,so her wanting a Bolens of her own is a natural progression the way I see it.

Always nice seeing vintage pictures with the tractors in them.

Like a walk back in time
