I have a Bready walk behind with a Lauson engine. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these. I believe it's from the early 1950s the engine is locked up. I do plan on restoring it cosmetically, but I don't plan on ever having it run.

I don't recall Bready ever using a Lauson engine. the majority were Briggs. How about posting some pictures?

Oh okay, well that is a bit of a relief. The engine is locked up. And it looks like it was taken off. So it could have been replaced 40yrs ago a d then sat outside uploadfromtaptalk1428313588638.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428313594419.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428313602489.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1428313606388.jpg

well even if its not the original engine , its still a fairly collectable one. I wouldn't be to fast to discard it, even if it is stuck.

Oh no I am planning on restoring the tractor and engine together. Unless I find a running engine for the tractor they will stay together.

I've never seen one in person other than mine.
