Well I worked on the old gal today, and got the gauges done plus added an oil filter. I am going to post twice so I have enough room for pictures, and save some confusion.

I'll start with the oil filter. I picked up this filter at a yard sale complete for 2 bucks. I thought it had a replaceable cartridge, but... It uses toilet paper!!!! Unbelievable, I guess you learn something new everyday. I google the name, and they are still in operation. Too cool, I love nos stuff like this.

Down the road I'll have to cap off the T fitting, and add a new one on the other line because now the oil gauge is behind the filter, and in this configuration the gauge will give a low reading. I mounted the filter under the footrest because there simply is no more room under the hood! :)

I figured since I had the welder out for the filter braket, I may as well get this done too.

In the picture above with the 2 chrome gauge brackets were not used because they wouldn't fit side by side, and the right side of the dash was not an option because of the hydro handle. So, I recycled a k181 tin for the project...cheers! :)

Lol. It still runs, and I still have it, but I haven't done anything with it this year. It is a cool toy to tinker with when time permits, and It really draws attention at shows.

I hope to get the fuel pump diaphragm, and some other little stuff completed next year on this baby. Too many projects, and never enough time.
