I am new to the old garden tractor scene and am in need of some assistance! I was given a '69 Bolens 1250 by my wife's grandfather who has had it since '72. Anyway, I am looking for a solid parts supplier and also a good lead on a tiller attachment for it. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum!

You came to the right place for Bolens info

We have a couple site sponsors who deal in parts, I am one of them :D

We would love to see some pictures of your machine when you get a chance.

Welcome to GTT. Congratulations on being very lucky. The Bolens 1250 is a Large Frame and one of the best GTs to own. You can download the manuals from our Manuals Section. The tiller may be difficult/expensive to find. You are off to a great start in a fun hobby. We are all in this together so, ask when you have questions. Good Luck, Rick

I appreciate the response, unfortunately I am away out of town this weekend but I promise to have a couple pics up later Sunday. And Bolens 1000, I have already put your eBay page on my saved tabs!

Welcome to the forum!  You've come to the right place.

Brian of Bolens1000 fame is a great source for new parts.  You'll be hard pressed to find a guy who knows more about Bolens.

blackjackjakexix is a great source for NOS parts and quite a bit of used stuff.  He's got me out of a bind a couple times.

As promised, here's a pic. Her granddad did a full restore a few years back and put bigger deck bearings, a 14 HP Wisconsin and put a larger air filter to compensate for the larger motor. I'm very fortunate. So any good leads on a tiller attachment?
