boy how do I hate/love auctions, if I go prices seem to be up, if I stay home everyone seems to get the deal of a lifetime, going to one this morning to bid on a 2007 ferris is3000 with 750 hrs, since its a wed auction lots of people will be at work, but its on a horse farm and we all know horse people have money, I checked on the net they seem to sell at the dealers from $5000 - $9000 kind of a long range so im questionable to even go, I have $4000 for this machine, if I don't go I will find out it sold for $2500, if I go the bidding will start a $5000, o well maybe I can score a wheel barrow or something ha ha i'll tell you how it worked out later today

I feel your pain.      It's always that or you end up staying for hours, because what you want doesn't sell until the end of the auction.     Rick

An auction on April Fools Day? Be careful but have fun. Something really good may show up. Good Luck, Rick

I haven't goon to an auction in years for that same reason .  You spend the whole day and everything goes for prices that are just crazy .

We had an '05  IS5000 at our church, great fro the flat ground, just horrible on our hills, ended up in our pond 3 times even with ags tires. We traded it for an '04 Grasshopper and 1500.

Hope you win it and get a good deal

Son #1 was born April 1st. Five minutes after midnight and the foreign born Dr. wouldn't move the date back and didn't understand our April Fool customs. Public school wasn't fun for the boy on his birthday. He's over it now, lol.

I was born today and haven't had any problems at all.  WHY YOU GOT AN ISSUE WITH APRIL FOOLS !!!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL.  I do love to go to an auction and have gotten great deals there but you have to be there to get the good deal.  the least you can do is make the other guy pay fair market for what he wants :D

hi all, went to the auction, mower went for $4800 + 10% buyers premium + 13 tax that brings it to a little over $5950, before I went I found 2 at a dealer 2 hrs away, 3 years newer but they had a little over 1000 hrs their asking was $4100 for either machine I told them I didn't want to spend more that $4000 total taxes in and they were not shy of the idea, so it looks like a road trip is in order

Sounds like you may have found a deal. A good auctioneer will work the bidders into a "frenzy" and most everything sells for waaaay more than it should. Just look at Barrett Jackson.

They probably would not have teased him for his birthday if you would have named him Sue.
