Replacing rear tires on Craftsman LT2000

Can I replace the 18x8.5x8 rear tires with 20x8x8 tires using the same wheel?

It should as the rim size and the width are similar, but someone with a little more knowledge should be along soon.

The wheel is no problem.

 

You might dig up the specs on the transaxle.  The low end hydrostatic ones I have been looking at list a max tire size, one was 18" and the other 20".  Could be the gear driven ones do too.

They should work fine, barring any unforeseen issues like the guys already mentioned. Stuff like inner clearance, fender pan clearance, torque specs are easy to overlook.
