Several years back I had a Ford 601 selectomatic with a fel. When I got the tractor it had one pump mounted on the tractor and a spare. I sold the tractor but kept the extra pump. Would this thing be any good on a gt or would it require to much hp to be practical. How about using it to build a log splitter and if I do what hp do I need to run it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I wouldn't waist the time and effort trying to install that big pump on a GT, It should fit nicely on my Ford 850 though. Let me know when your ready to ship it and I'll see to it you have my address. Postage paid by me of course.   :smilewink:

Need the displacement of the pump, or the flow rate at a specific rpm, and the pressure rating to answer your questions.

I got a couple of pictures but the only numbers on this thing is an 8 stamped into a machined spot. The only other thing is the area that is cast into the case that says I believe, Victor vane pump or vicker. Hard to read.

Do a cleanup of the pump. The relevant numbers should be stamped in the edge of the front housing under the dirt.
