Yesterday, I was on a firearms site and the thread refered folks to another site(castboolits.com). When I clicked on the highlighted site, I immediately received a warning window from Frontier Communications that I should call their ph. number.

I called Frontier, but using a different number. The tech told me that it was not their warning and that some people have been charged several hundred bucks to fix a problem that was not there. It took the tech an hour to clean the adware out of my computer.

No offence, but you seem to have the worst luck with computers.

I was searching for some info regarding some reptiles for my son's habit. Clicked on the website, instantly got porno ads popup. Did a clean on PC, went back to website and worked fine.

We had one here at work that Staples couldn't fix right away. Their tech wanted to know who was deleting files, then he couldn't override the startup... Eventually, they got it but he said it was a fighter.

Maybe it's just my bad JuJu, but I'm thankful for having Frontier Tech Support. The tech told me of one customer who had their computer kidnapped. The villain wanted $500 to unlock it.
