Question is how does it run? The way it sits (not running) could fetch 400-1000 around these parts running could fetch 1000 on up It all comes down to what you are willing to pay It looks pretty straight excellent candidate for restore Need to see under the hood to see if unmolested All original worth more What are they asking for it???

I think before I choke up $750 for it gonna need the hear it run and move. I think $750 is a reasonable price for what you have there providing everything functions as it should. That's a pretty tough looking machine.

Are you the one posting the MF Want ad on Cincy CL?

Yea, I agree, it would be running and deck working and 750 wouldn't be a bad price. Those decks have a timed rubber belt, the cogs get worn off and no longer available. Also, that ensures from electric PTO works and you can check all hydraulics while running.

I paid $400 for mine, same condition as yours running with 54" deck and a 5' back blade. Of course, once it was home, I'm $300 in repairs and still don't have it back together.

Yes I did put that wanted ad on Craigslist and I will definitely make sure it needs nothing for 750. I just talked to him and he said everything does work of course I will check this before handing over any money.  I just want to make sure this is a good deal otherwise I will just wait untill a really good deal comes my way.  Thanks everyone.

$750 for one that needs nothing is a good price. But the needs nothing is the hard part. The tins are missing off the cylinder jugs, why? They will need to be put on our you run a serious risk of engine damage. Its an onan so any engine work is going to be expensive. The only way to test the hydro is to load it up. Back it into something solid and the wheel should dig to china. If not it could be the hydro or simply the belts. The drive shaft pullies need to be checked too. They are splined and they strip. Cant remeber but I think they are NLA. Deck pullies have been covered but the blades for the deck are NLA also. Those are the big things to check, that I can think of.

Wow.  Maybe things are different where you guys are from, but I wouldn't hesitate buying it at all for $750.  I wouldn't care if it runs or not.  You can part it out for more than that.  I seriously doubt you're going to find a better deal than that...unless you seriously take advantage of someone, or buy something that you're going to have to sink $1000 into.

The 3 pt hitches alone go for $350 on ebay.  I think it's obvious that you're buying a 35 year old tractor and it's going to need a little tinkering, but it looks complete sans the battery.

If you are skeptical about it, forward me his info and I'll buy it tonight.

Now hook up your trailer and go get it :)
