Hi Everyone, I'm brand new to this Forum.

First time I've joined one, so not sure how to really use it yet.

I bought my house about 20 yrs ago and ended up trading my Grandfathers 1959 DB toward a new Toro riding mower.

Just last year I found it 3 miles down the street where the guy who bought it from that mower shop backed it in his shed and never moved it. Anyway, I spotted it, bought it back, cleaned the carb , and it started right up. (Pull start-rope wrap style-/ with the electric option). The tires never lost the air either. I was absolutely amazed!!

My Grandfather had taken the hood off and we never knew what happened to it.

I would like to restore it, but am having a hard time finding an original hood.

I would like to know if anyone has one for sale, and if not, let me know in the future if they come across one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou, Dave

better jump on a hood if you can get it for 100 or so. Thre's about 50 other guys looking for them also and most of the time you have to buy a complete tractor to get one at all.

I think I got 250 for my last hood and grill I sold. Makes it hard to sell a whole tractor for 400.

The 2 I saw where just for the sheet metal not the cast grill and 1 was total garbage but he was firm on his price. I restored many tractors and this one by far has been the hardest and most expensive to find parts for. I love how people say how common they are.
