Brian, I could have sworn we talked about this during our rebuilds we were doing at the same time, but I must be mistaken. I wonder if the tractor manufacturers that used the TR's got duped into thinking they were a full 10hp. After all, they advertised the tractors as being 10hp.

I think I remember us saying something about the TR's but I cant say for sure.

From the looks of it the Bolens manufactures were just as convinced as we were that they were actually 10HP units

That one looks tempting. Says he will drive up to 100 miles. If that is the case it wouldn't be too far to go get it :D

Shouldn't it be a 10hp wisconsin? In his description it says 7 1/2 hp. His description leaves a lot to be desired, in one sentence he says it doesn't run and needs rewired then the next sentence he says it runs.

George, ya don't come across these often, and to be that close to you!!!!! You were the main one I had in mind when posting this.

Well guys I tried. I used up all three of my offers and can't offer anymore. I would really like to get it but I have other expenses to take care of and some of them are for the site like business cards and another banner or two. My final offer and his best offer was $50 difference. If I didn't just shell out all the money for the compressor I would have budged for the extra $50.

Well George, maybe it just wasn't meant to be. You made an offer on the higher end of the scale anyway.

George, he may end up sending you a lower offer yet. He's listed it too high to get many offers.

Did you see he lowered the "buy it now" to $625? And still has "make offer".

LOL. I can't make any more offers. So the ball is on his side if he wants to contact me after the auction is over.

That's more like it! Now you have a great chance at getting it cheaper. I bought my three D4-10's for $203.50, $150, and $50. The $50 one was better than the $203.50 one! But for the $203.50, I got an original manual! LOL My best one was the $150 one, bought from former neighbor. Had mower deck & push blade.
This one though looks quite a bit better than any of mine when I purchased them.
