Looks like it is a hit on facebook. If I valued my spare time at $5/hr, I could sell more of these than I would care to build.

Total material cost (not counting MIG wire) is around $100 each.

The online price ,not counting tax and shipping, for the tables my wife saw that started all of this, were $250 each.

Since this one was a proto type, I can probably trim some time off of the next one, raise the price to $350 and dont try to get them done as fast as possible, I could get in the $20/hr range.

Keep an eye out for used bed rails. They commonly are tossed out. I was using them for various projects. The very old ones are much heavier gauge.  I know around here left over tile ends up donated to Restore(habit for humanity) and resold for a dime on the dollar. May be a source similar in your area.. I like the "rivet" look,,,not sure of a cheap alternative unless you want to start melting down some old tractors and forging your own rivets.

Hardware for both was under $20 or about 1/5th of the project.. so that really isnt a big deal

The second one is done and in the house. A relative wants a coffee table to match the end tables now.  :wallbanging:
