That's purdy. Is the tang welded on? The handle looks like hole saw plugs out of plywood. Dang man tell us sumtin.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't make this. I saw it on another forum and thought it would give someone inspiration. I wouldn't have thought a mower blade was good enough steel for cutlery. Still, if it was hardened and tempered maybe.

I made a replacement cutter for a Stanley # 192 rabbet plane I have out of a mower blade. It's pretty tough steel and would dull a regular hacksaw blade after cutting about 2 inches. I finally got some bi-metal Lenox blades and was able to cut out the blank. Ground it to shape on a 1''x42'' belt sander my dad built from scratch. It's the .122'' blade in the photo.
