What HP engine originally went in those?


Doc., If this is a RJ58, it would have had 3.6hp engine, Clinton, I believe. If it's a RJ59, it would have had a 4.0hp Clinton. During the 1959 model year, W.H. started using the K-90 Kohler.

I have been keeping an eye out for a RJ-58. I would love to have one of those tiny little things. I would probably look odd riding one, if I even could.:yelclap:

3.6hp Kohler K90, some (read that few) came with the Clinton B1200 as well, later models had the 4hp Kohler K91 or Clinton B1290

Now, when I make the first one pictured look like the second one, add that pretty plow I restored last year, then I can post a picture of the two of them side by side. That'll be something!
