Without reading all through I wanted to ask if you added an oil cooler to the hydro lift return line?  If you plow or pull hard for a while, these hydro's get really hot, so it helps immensely to have a cooler on them.

Yea it pulls great and everything runs nice and smooth, I'm really happy how well it has come out.

 

Daniel, I did as you recommended and routed it off the return on the spool valve through the oil cooler in the radiator. You were right, it dumps back into the reservoir without any restriction. So far it seems to work great, keeps it cool but also helps to warm it up on the colder days.
