I found a listing on craigslist for a massey riding mower and it doesn't say what model it is and it is hard to tell from the pic what it is but here is the pic:

I am going to vote that it is a 7. I have a 8 hydro and that thing seems like it is smaller yet. Maybe it is just the picture and the fact they painted everything red?

I don't think that I have seen one like that.

We need to see the other side of the tractor, if it has the air cleaner is visible from the side it's an 8 if not it's a 7.

Yeah, I'd say MF7 also, remember they built 56,453 MF7's, compared to 13,235 MF8's, those are recoil and electric start geared tractor numbers, I just don' know why we don't see more MF7's, they built almost 60,000 of them. The aftermarket taller seat that sits back further makes the tractor look smaller and throws you off, as well as the paint

I found a Massey MF7 Hydro that I posted in another thread and I thought it would be worth getting since it was hydro but I think I am gong to hold off because I would rather do a 14/16/1655/1855 instead and have them as priorities.

George, smart to hold till you find what you really want. Soon as you spent what cash you had on a 7, you'd stumble on a large Massey, then be kicking yourself for not having more money. I've done the same & then found a chunk of gold, but couldn't buy.

Very true and well said. I am bound and determined to find a big massey. I will have one before summer is out. Maybe two if it works out. I just hope I can find one that isn't too far of a drive but I am willing to travel the distance if I have to.
