I have a 1978 Sears GT16 Garden Tractor and need the Gas cap/gauge. The part number is 7886R. Sears no longer carries it and I don't know what else it is compatible with. Does anyone on here know where I can get one, or any interchange numbers?

Have you tried a local Stens dealer. They make a lot of replacement GT gas caps. I got one for my JD317.

Measure the length, neck diameter, and course or fine thread. Post that, someone will know of a replacement

I used one from a Craftsman GT 917.450XXX that has the plastic tank under the rear frnder pan. No guage though, just the cap.
