Way to give it back to those aggravating pests!!

Anyone ever here of Tom Mabe and some of his revenge of the telemarketers antics? Some funny stuff!

Tried posting a link to some of his stuff on youtube but can't quite figure it out. Search crime and the carpet cleaner by Tom Mabe

The best way I have found to handle them is to ask them to wait just a minute, lay the phone down and go back about 10 min. later and hang up the phone.

I've done that before. I was told that they cannot hang up and make another call for a few mins so it ties up their lines. Not sure if true, but I have done it several times.

At our old number we got the same # that called every night around 6pm. We never answered, but they continued to call. This went on for months. I would figure they would quit after several missed calls, but not these people, don't even know who they were.

Worst one was at 8 am on a Sunday morning for 3-4 weeks in a row, local newspaper trying to sell us a subscription. finally answered one morning, told them I get what I need from their website...free so don't need to pay for their paper.

The big city news paper websites are now subscription only to read the story. You can read the headline and the first 10 words, but when you click on the story, they throw up a big box telling you to login or pay them $9 a month if you want to use their service

Local paper and the ones from the city all have ip or mac addy loggers. You can read so many stories per year (like 10) from their website. They have a popup that warns you how many you have left.

Some of the smaller markets are doing that too.  I used to keep up with a paper near camp, but now all I see are the headlines.

Our paper maybe subscription, I never read more than 2-3 anyways, IF I even get on the site. I mainly only go there for the Obits.

My mom who lives with us still gets paper so if I want to read, I grab hers.

I get all my news from FB anyway  HAHAHAHA

It's on the internet so it's gotta be true, right :poke:  :poke:  :rolling:

I wonder if George has ever thought of doing a phone survey. "Hello! How many tractors do you have in your home, etc.? Would you vote for a tractor owner for President?" (It would keep Scot busy!)

The most recent one I got was from the Fraternal order of State Troopers. I answered, found out who it was,put it speaker phone and handed it to my 7 year old son and said "here its for you". The last thing we heard was my son saying "I am the Daddy!!!!" :D
