Hello I am new the site and think I have the bug. I currently have a John Deere 300 with a blower ,317 with a blower and 318 with a loader. I have a full set of spare tins for the 318 and am trying to decide what color to paint the spare set. My wife is making me sell the 300.

well, your not alone in the gt bug, the bad part is you have to sell one tractor. but look on the bright side, more money to invest in attachments for the other ones. I think on the spare set of tins you should paint them JD Industrial Yellow, with that loader might look good.

Welcome to the site. Glad you are here. I like Casey's idea of the industrial yellow.

Oh, you have the bug alright! But I don't understand hearing of so many wives demanding shedding of tractors. If she would stop & think of what other things you could do with your time, she should want you to get a couple more! I am bless with a wife that lets me do my thing no matter how many I have. I have sold a few, but when I choose....so I can finance another! LOL Enjoy your disease my friend....it's fun!

 Transamland Welcome to GTTalk! I'd say you're definitely in the first stages of the disease! It's a shame that the wife wants you to sell one, but there will be others. I have an idea that may allow you to keep the "extra" one. You could paint the spare tins pink and "give" one to her. Once she's caught the disease, you'll be fighting over where to keep them all LOL!

:welcome: to GTTALK! Glad you found us.

As for the wife re: making, you sell... I see some wisdom in several of the suggestions. I would probably err toward making the other half happy, but look at this as a unique opportunity. This gives you the chance to buy something OTHER than another green tractor in the future.

Have fun, enjoy your new addiction!

I can relate, I had a Bolens G14, but a 318 came up, and I had to sell my bolens to get the cash together for the 318.

Ah someday I'll get another one.

:welcometogttalk: I totally understand your situation with the wife. I bought a small GT and have been working on it to get it in good running condition. Once it's running real good I'm gonna give it to her. I'll put a dump cart on the back of it for her. Figure after using it to haul things around the kennel instead of using her wheel barrow she won't complain about me getting another. (However, I could be WRONG!! LOL)
