Rip off a piece about 6" wide. Fold it up a few times. try to keep it flat with no creases in the center (these could scratch the chrome if you rub too hard). Dip it in a bucket of water and wet sand like you would paint, dont rub real hard and keep it wet. they say that when it starts turning gray, thats when it works the best, so dont add too much water too quick.

I know that a wad of aluminum foil does a great job cleaning/scrubbing out a cast iron skillet...didn't know it worked on chrome too....thanks for the tip!
