WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!!!!

On another forum (Mazda forum) someone said the ignition switch goes out and causes the car to shut it's self off.

I just went out and pulled the switch, I'm going to clean it and see what that does. I'll replace it if needed.

From what I read it's sounding more and more like this switch,so I'm hoping!

That would be great. Probably frustrating since you checked and replaced so much else but at least it would be fixed

Most of those oil pressure sensors are dumb. Example 10 to 30 is good and below 10 is bad. I've never seen an oil pressure sensor shut off a vehicle though

Yeah, but this is a foreign job. :rolling:

At least he knows those parts are all good. :D

Those trucks had a weird set of parts.

Mitsubishi engine. Mazda truck. Mazda and ford relationship. The b series trucks were odd birds with who made what parts

Mitsubishi and dodge were partnered up on some engines and vehicles. Eclipse and eagle talon. The avenger had a Mitsubishi engine.

So did some of the early Caravans and Voyagers. I do not have many fond memories of that engine.  :(

I hope its the switch ,though I'm a little confused because I thought that you had spark and fuel when it wouldn't start ?

Shoot, it wasn't the switch, I took it completely apart and cleaned it. It didn't look corroded or anything. I stuck it back together and still the same problem.

A friend has a Dodge Ram 50 and it is basically a Mitsubishi. Although it is a little older so has a carburetor not fuel injected. The old thing still gets around 26mpg with around 300k miles, starts and runs great.

They weren't a good engine. But dodge has had some terrible power plants in the 80s and early 90s.

Those were great little trucks. I wanted one so bad at one point. But you can never find them around here that aren't rusted o pieces. I haven't even seen one for years.

Sorry the switch didn't fix it. Back to the drawing board...

Might start making a chart on what you've checked and your findings
