I am looking for a railroad sign for my best friends father. He is an avid train collector, and does not have that sign. He was generous enough to let us stay at his home while on vacation in FL. I would like to find him this sign. I know there are many different kinds, so I'd be curious to find out what you have. I would need it shipped to Florida.

Please post or reply with what you have hanging on the wall. Thank you very much!

I'm a RR collector myself including model RR. Like mentioned they can be had on eBay at a reasonable price. At his age & like myself I would prefer a vintage sign.

Standard cross is what I feel would fit that room, I don't want a reprint. We were in Florida and calling every antique shop, we found zilch. I'll look on Ebay, but would like to help someone out on here if possible.

I'll check with a friend of mine that works on the railroad. It's worth asking.

CP a friend of mine also works on the RR. They have items that they discard or placed out of service. He got me a set of cross bucks. What I really want is a set of Loco horns :)

Wow , just check ebay and those crossbucks are big bucks......LOL

I work for  a railroad and can tell you from personal experience that you have to almost know somebody that works in the track maintenance dept. to get that sort of thing .

Somebody like a track inspector ,  signal maintainer ,  or railroad crossing maintainer etc.

I have seen them at flea markets and yard sales, but I don't have one or know what they cost.

Here is one so far isn't expensive & is not a repo.

sure seems like to me if you where at a remote rr crossing and the truck just happened to go into reverse, some object might just fall in to the back of it.

No! That would be illegal!!! As members on a public forum, we must be careful of the image we present.

Obviously I know you're kidding. I did laugh though when I read it.
