Well I finally found some time today to really start cleaning up the B1 that I picked up on Friday.I still have to finish cleaning the transaxle and the wheels, and I'll clean the engine bay when I remove the engine to convert the ignition back to original. I have the parts, so I just have to find the time to do it. The bracket in the pic is where the center PTO would mount. The paint hasn't been touched, so this tractor never had a mid PTO on it. I'm guessing that it was originally bought for just tilling and plowing.I had to change out the lift handle assembly since the old one was bent, and the had a deep groove worn in it.The choke cable was disconnected, so I put that back in place and it works fine now. I would like to find a nice original Nelson muffler for this machine if anyone has one available. I'll settle for a repro if It comes down to that.I just have to change out all of the fluids and it will be ready to use.

Is that the original seat? with armrests?  Cool!  More tractors need armrests, specially for us Senior guys! Best not to have big Rear tho, doesn't look like a huge about of space between them, ha!

The arm rest pads are the original ones, but I put the seat bottom and seat back on this tractor from another B1 I picked up last year. The seat that came on this tractor wasn't bad at all, but it had a small hole in the front, and the decal was missing from the seat back.

Here's a pic of the lug nuts. I don't think the wheels were removed much.

Wow Classic that B1 is in beautiful condition. I just picked up a B1 myself that is in good mechanical condition but cosmetically compared to yours it looks like a parts tractor !

The mechanics are the most important part rustyoldjunk. Paint and decals will fix yours right up if you want it to look good. I bought this tractor because of it's condition, and my other B1 is worn and completely disassembled.
