Agree w/ cvans: continuous run is a lot easier on the motor and a fan will help the pump and just plugging the fan in is simpler than wiring it w/ the pressure switch. A fan won't use that much juice and won't care if the pump is running or not.

I smoked a 60 gallon compressor that had a 10 cfm @ 90 psi bead blasting so I upgraded to a 80 gallon with a 24 cfm @ 90 psi and have never had a problem after that I also put a refrigerated air drier in also. Whe I pull out the big sand blaster I use my ingersol 185 cfm tow behind.
