I just read that!

Me too.  As a long time Trekkie since I was a young'un I've always enjoyed the shows (yes- I catch reruns on ME TV time to time) and the movies with him in them are great.

I really liked how Into Darkness tied the whole gamut together..  Now if they could just get by the corny 5 year mission crap in the movie..  It's been what-  45 years now??

Adios pointy-eared one..  See you in the Final Frontier!

I too am a huge Star Trek fan.  My two favorite characters on the series were Kirk and Spock.  As I grew up and saw interviews of the real actors and their other endeavors,  I began to be more of a Spock fan.  Mr. Nimoy did not seem at all full of himself.  He had plenty of other talents.

I do enjoy the new movie series.  It reminds me of the old series.

Farewell Mr. Nimoy.

Heard it on the way home from work this afternoon.  I am a big trekkie myself.  Always liked him the best out of the original characters with Mr. Scott a very close second.  Sad day for the acting world, he will be missed by many.

Sorry to hear that. He did a lot of movies other than Star Trek. For those of you who like Nimoy and old movies try "Kid Monk Baroni" an early Nimoy movie (1952) where he has the leading role. It's probably available on Youtube.

He was a great actor of a great character.

I wonder if they're working on an episode about him for Sheldon and Leonard?

Actually, the proper term is Trekker, Trekkie is considered derogatory. LOL.
Itoo, am a big fan of the original cast, and most of Nimoy's work.
