this darn chest and head cold. It was gone for a couple of weeks. Long enough to go see the the new grand daughter, and then came back right after we got back. Just like in January it tends to settle in the chest and throat after hitting the sinuses. I still have some medicine from before and that seems to be helping. While I'm at it we can't seem to shake this cold weather we are having. -18* last night an only 11* today. Nice and sunny but very cold. Tonight will be down to -18* again and tomorrow will be a little warmer at 10+*. My heating budget has taken a big hit this winter. I had planned for some cold weather but not for this long. Still haven't got to the garage to work on the hitches with it being so cold. Have the urge to get out there but this cold and the weather has me stuck inside. I do have a couple more small wood working projects to do as soon as I can get out to the garage and get some more wood to mill. Hope you all are safe and warm and healthy. Have another addition to the GT family coming this spring but that will be for another post. Just as a hint, it's not green, it's not red, it's not blue and white and it's nor orange. First one I've ever owned, so it will be a new thing for me. Roger

Hang in there Roger & take care of yourself. The problem like most of us we can't sit around & do nothing...eager to wrench on something. A lot of times a sickness back set can be worse than the beginning. Stay warm & try to enjoy your rest.

Good luck on shaking it and be careful. It's hard to shake. I caught it and ended up at the doctor and got 2 shots there and then 4 prescriptions for it and then it was a 3 week process. I think even the hair on my head hurt that first week.

Remember ,Granny, on The Beverly Hillbilly's, she had found the cure for the common cold, plenty of fluids and plenty of rest and the cold would be gone with in 7 to 10 days. Noel.

Hope you feel better soon.  I hate those colds that bounce from head to chest, head to chest.  Seems like they hang on forever!

Lots of fluids!  Not sure of any medical conditions or whatever you may have, but Mucinex works wonders for me!

This winter hasn't been bad for us in Ohio.  Last year I swear we were well below our average lows for all of Jan and Feb.  Lots zeros and below zeros.

This year, we have had maybe 2 weeks of really cold weather, and next week its supposed to warm up.  My heating fund still has money in it, last year it was in the negative in the January.  Does help this year that heating oil is half what it was last year.

I think the "plenty of fluids" part may have included "the recipe"! Hope you are feeling better, Roger !

Feeling a bit better today. Still have the cough. Have to go out today to do garbage. Supposed to be in the 20s today and start warming up from there. Been using Alkaseltzer Night time at night and Alkaseltzer regular during the day. At night when I go to bed I've been putting Vicks Vaporub on the soles of my feet. I know but it works for me, at least so far. An occasional Halls cough drop and lots of orange juice and water.  Thanks for the well wishes. Going stir crazy sitting in the house. Got to get out and do something.                                                                                                                                               Roger
