My First Layer Cake

Last week, I made (with some greatly appreciated help from my dad and mom) my first layer cake. The cake is called Washington Pie. It was very delicious! The recipe is from The Tasha Tudor Cookbook. Later today I will post the story that has to do with the cake, and the recipe.

That looks pretty good.  East Central In. isn't that far away.  You need a taaste tester?    Rick

Let's all grab some coffee & go visit our friend Gabriel. I showed this to my wife because she took some pastry chief classes. She is real familiar with those recipes. You got to share with us what the filling is.

The filling is Raspberry jam and Cherry juice. The recipe called for Kirschwasser (a fruit brandy made from cherries), but we used Cherry juice instead.
