Yesterday I was out moving snow.  We had about 12 inches, depending where the drifts were worse.  The ol' Gravely saved the day.

Then today we actually crested 40 for the first time in about two weeks.  I was sweating.  I went out in the shop, dusted off some old projects, shipped some boxes using tape that wasn't brittle and unsticky from the cold, and just generally enjoyed being outside without requiring me to be a foot wider than normal with a dozen coats.

I've been outside raking up all the grass I cut yesterday because it's supposed to rain and be in the mid 30's the next 3 or 4 days and it won't ever get dry enough to pick up with the lawnvac. So I windrowed and then hand raked it into piles so I could pick it up and haul it to the compost pile out back. Hauled 5 big cart loads just off the front yard. It was 65 this morning when I got up

Got in at 5 this am to find the RAT had gotten stuck to sticky traps under stove,,,,dragged his way out from under stove and across kitchen and managed to free himself of sticky trap. He left behind the dog biscuit on trap but returned sometime later and retrieved biscuit. I can't believe none of my dogs woke up,(2 are very old),,they all slept within 20' of this event.  New plan going into effect tonight....not sure what but new!

I can't believe that. You have the persona of a kitty, play in the dirt, and are mildly passive - aggressive and you can't pull some strings. Imagine that!  mouse 1.jpg

Always busy here, but not much to talk about tractor wise. Working on the GMC's and other projects. I watched Daytona yesterday in the house (great race!) with my wife then soon as it was over out to the shop and turned on NHRA from Phoenix while I was fixing a couple of broken "magnifying lights"! The girls wanted to watch whatever award show was on last night and I could care less about that stuff!

Weather has been pretty cold but not enough snow at once to even fire up the Executive. Still on the fence on how to approach the oil consumption issue in the MF12. Seems like overbore pistons are made out of unobtainium and I don't think anyone around here would bore the block for less than the price of a new pickup!--LOL!

I'm still reading some of the happenings here though!

I've been trying to find ways to occupy myself. Had to go out for a while to cool the brain!

Photo02231620.jpg       Semi blocking path to 911 tower this afternoon . Tower and generator 800 ft to right . The generator did not do auto run this morning so I volunteered to see why . It eventually manually started for me  ( propane ) . getting late in afternoon , wanted to get back .

Too bad , PSP barracks 1/2 mile on left . Would have been interesting .

Hay Sparky, I usually call the Gen Mech when I get a Generator alarm. (Still have to go out to let them on site) We have both diesel and propane.

Sometimes I like to take the drive just to see what the situation is at the other end . Does get a little ridiculous at times . The truck driver had a perfect view of a tower and the only access road to it .

Probably an arrogant SOB while driving too . Oh well .
