Sitting here watching it rain. Better than watching it snow I guess. My knee is not liking the weather.

Was out plowing the driveway with the 51 Ferguson tractor. Used it yesterday too and my sons ford blower. Getting sick of snow. Hopefully in a few weeks the snow will start to go away and not get any more. Thinking about what potatoes to plant this year. Noel

Had a water leak at the church that had to be dealt with after the service. Water was running off the roof, bypassing the frozen eves trough and then ended up against the building behind a 4ft snow bank. It started to leak through the wall in the old part of the building. Couldn't dig it out, solid ice at the bottom, so we diverted the water away from the building with a sheet of plywood.  Got home and with the rain the driveway was a skating rink. Washed the car and then spread crusher run on the driveway. This is the first day in maybe a month that it has been above freezing for the whole day. The rain has now changed back to snow, but at least that will stick to the wet ice and give it some texture. Ah! the joys of winter!

I've been spending time with my family and many little projects

Plowed the drive with the 4 wheeler. Put a new battery in my wife's car(couldn't hack 20 below), did some shopping with my wife, and measured and planned my bathroom remodel which got more involved than I wanted.

Plus yesterday I towed the little girl around on the sled behind the 4 wheeler we had a blast. She is one tough kid.

Spent the weekend at our daughters and son in laws to see the new grand daughter. She is beautiful. To cold here to do much with the tractors so we decided it was time to go there. Took her cradle down we made her and she took to it right away. Having never made one before I wasn't sure how it would rock. It rocked just fine, very little effort and if she moves in it the cradle rocks on its own. In their bedroom they have carpet so I made a couple of runners that are 4 1/2 " wide and 26" long with a 1" wide slot (dado) cut down the middle length of the board. They can lay these on the carpet under the rockers and it will rock as if it was on the hardwood floor.

Yep, different types of racing, but ......

Some guys like to hit a little round ball and chase it for 3-4 hours trying to put it in a little hole,

I would rather pull my fingernails out with a pair of pliers.

Then you got those guy who chose to ride green and yellow tractors, to each his own, but no hating here.

  :D

On the weekends all winter long I have been working on splitting my tri-axle load of fire wood. Getting the rest of it finished with this snow has been a real pain and the temps have just been terrible to do anything out side but today we were above freezing so my Dad and I worked most of the afternoon till dark.

I've been outside raking up all the grass I cut yesterday because it's supposed to rain and be in the mid 30's the next 3 or 4 days and it won't ever get dry enough to pick up with the lawnvac. So I windrowed and then hand raked it into piles so I could pick it up and haul it to the compost pile out back. Hauled 5 big cart loads just off the front yard. It was 65 this morning when I got up and now it's down to40 and going to get down to 35 tonight.
