At least your 53 Will. I had a young lady ask me for my senior card when I was 45. I gave her a hard time just messing with her about ruining my day. I would love to hear that video...does it have that solid thumping sound.

This is how I made a muffler for a MF16 that fits under the hood similar to the factory one.
I figured I'd try to make the standard reverse flow muffler something like these.

Mine only has 2 tubes inside the short one that that connects one end to the other I don't have.

Started with a piece of 4" pipe, some 1-1/8" thin wall pipe and some pipe fittings.
Also 4 standard round metal electrical box covers.

Cut all the parts to length and drilled many holes, the 2 round plates with the 2 big holes in them also have 2 smaller 3/4" holes in the them, these let the exhaust go from 1 end to the other inside the muffler.

The inside part is show backwards, rotate 180 deg and it's right. (bottom to top)

All put together and welded.

Installed in the tractor, covers and heat shields in place.

Sound test.

This now makes the tractor mobile and usable again. :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

The tube that comes from the engine 1/8"

The tube that leaves the muffler 1/4"

Sounds good Doug & well thought out. I liked the puff of smoke throttling up...let's you know she's a little tired but healthy. Thanks for sharing.

Also lets you know it's running, just in case you've hit the mute button by mistake.
