Hi All

Judging time again have fun

We were taking part in a ploughing match Called the Highlands of Fife

It started in1908 stopped in 1939 the started again 2008 ,since then it has gone from strength to strength

80 tractors took par,t 3 pair of horses took part and three of us took part in horticultural section the first time in their history this has happened,it was a pleasure to take part, there were a lot of good comments

There was a lot of straw that made it hard for us but we managed

The all look like really good plowing jobs, but I'd have to pick number three (George) as it looks like there was less trash left uncovered.

Thank you for the photos, and it looks like you fellows did a great job and had fun doing so. The land looks to have been quite wet for plowing.

Take care,

Mike

Hi All

Here are one or two pics of my first attempt at ploughing grassland I did this with my Gutbrod 1032 and my Gutbrod plough.

I ploughed 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep,I was very pleased with the result The ground was in grass for 26 years

This was done for someone that had bought the house  and ground and wanted an area for potatoes and vegatables

Hope you like26 year old grass.JPG Nice grass ploughing 2015.JPG
