I have a walk-behind one based on the 12bb tractor. I believe I dated the engine once and it was built after the end of the 12 series of tractors, so I would guess that these where made of left over stock by Bolens and sold as a group to Western Auto. Mine is buried out in one of the back shed right now, so can go see if it has tags or not. It has a cultivator on it. I too looked for yr for catalogs showing these, but never found anything other than lawn mowers and the other lessor gardening tools.

are they tagged western auto?

The tractor is. The tag on the blade fell off, I would have to check it, but it's under about 4" of snow and a cover at the moment.

I believe in the manuals section I downloaded some for a plow, cultivator and something else, that some one had sent to me several yrs back. Looks like George's tractor, Tahoe's and mine are all the same model. I have seen at least one on the net with a fuel tank, hood and nose part, that was marked Wizard instead of Bolens, so there were at least two different walker sold.

wow that's exactly what I was looking for a few yrs back, something that showed the line up. Looks like a lot of nice attachments were available. Wonder how many of  the carts and sulkys are still awaiting someone.  Your a lucky man.

Who would have serviced these units? Probably not western auto!

Joe

The Western Auto that used to be in my home town did do service work in the back of their store.  Not sure if this was standard, or up to individual store managers.
