I have been up for a hour and not one car/truck has gone down our county road as of yet. Looks to be a inch or two of snow and forecaster's anticipate it will snow most of the day. Could get 6 to 10" in our area, last time I got to plow any with my GT was 2010 /11. I'm 40 miles north of Nashville which will most likely turn to "Crashville" but it is a holiday and most Federal and State workers will be off today. I for one have the day off and plan to have seat time on my GT!

The fear factor for those further south of me is the freezing rain and ice in middle/southern Tennessee into Alabama.

you guys can have it, I wish I could send you this single digit temps that we have been stuck in the Chicago area,

I too have today off and will be in the attached garage (it has HEAT)  I can't work in the big (unheated) garage like I should because within 10 minutes I have 2 fingers on my left hand that will be numb. I have a little welding I need to do on my utility trailer  numb fingers makes that difficult..(even though I am right handed)

. I need to get that done though so I can get the popup camper in there and do a few things to it to have it ready for this camping season.

for those of you down south, we all have our weather issues, I've never been anywhere near a hurricane or seen the distruction of one first hand, but I've seen many burned out houses and a few collapsed ones from the snow up here, being a Canadian most of us can say mother natures 4 seasons are wonderful, we would just prefer they didn't happen all in one day, ps as of 6:00 this morning it was -35f, my little dogs took 2 steps outside and turned around ha ha ha !!

The temp is -4* with a -17* windchill here in NE CT. The poor woodpeckers are fluffed up and having trouble hanging on to the suet feeder. We are getting more snow tommorrow. The temperatures are forecasted to go lower later this week. Roofs are collapsing and people are getting hurt falling off roofs and ladders. This is turning into a nasty winter for such an easy start. Good Luck, Rick

Both of my black Bombay cats ( bred to resemble miniature panther's ) have opted to skip breakfast this morning in lieu of the electric blanket on my bed.IMG_0029.JPG Voodoo on left Kingfish on right

I can't see my truck or car this morning. Still snowing and windy. All highways are closed, no plows out and confederation bridge is closed to all traffic. Noel

Just got back in from pushing snow. Fill up on breakfast and top off the 149. It is powder and not "wet" heavy snow which is usually what we get...when we get it. Sorry my frozen tundra northern neighbor's but I'm having a blast, for now then it will be a cold one down here~

I've seen this before. Too many folks in Pa. leave their barn/ garage doors open and it deflects the weather farther south. It' s prolly just an accident.

27° and alight SW wind about 7 mph.  Was 14° this morning and talking cold here all week.  Have only had one snow to move so far.  that was a real wet heavy 7" a couple weeks ago.  Dropped the blade off the one tractor but still have the caster on the 1053.  Been working in a heated shop on the cultivators.  One down and the second one is primed and drying.  wish we could get just a little of what your guys out East are getting.  4" or 6" would not hurt a thing but would not help you much either.  Hang in there, it has got to get better.
